Run an archive or purge job automatically

  • Last UpdatedApr 22, 2026
  • 2 minute read

You can schedule an archive or purge job to run automatically on the APR server by using the Windows Task Scheduler. Scheduled jobs can run at a specified time or on a recurring schedule (for example, daily or monthly).

Restore jobs cannot be run automatically. They must be run manually.

You must configure the scheduled job on the same computer as the APR server using the Windows Task Scheduler.

For scheduled jobs to run successfully, the proxy must be configured to forward requests to the APR service, allowing the command line program to submit its requests.
