AVEVA™ Knowledge & Support Center

The AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center is an online resource you can use to access technical information, updates and tools that support AVEVA's software products. It is located at https://softwaresupport.aveva.com/.

Note: The Citect Global Support website is no longer available. If you try to visit this site, you will automatically be redirected to the AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center.

Registration

If you are new to the Knowledge & Support Center, you will need to register for access. Use an organizational email address as generic email addresses are not supported.

If you have an existing Customer First Agreement, it will provide access to restricted content. After you register, be aware that it can take up to 24 hours to link your website registration to a Customer First Agreement as it is a manual process.

You can check if your registration is complete by viewing the My Profile page (accessible via the profile icon in the top-right corner).

If a number appears in the Tech Support ID field, it indicates that your registration has been processed.

Preferences

You can set viewing preferences for the Knowledge & Support Center. For example, you can specify that the available content focuses on Plant SCADA. To do this, click on the profile icon and select My Preferences.

You can specify Product Preferences, Content Preferences and Language Preferences.

Pages

The menu to the left of the Knowledge & Support Center provides access to the pages described in the table below.

Description

Case Management

This is the page you use to raise and manage support cases with the support team.

The default date range for the list of cases is two years. You can increase the time span by defining a different date range in the Filters panel.

To filter the list of cases, select the following icon.

Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base page displays a list of articles that were published in the past 90 days (by default). If you want to view earlier articles, use the Search bar.

You can also click on the following icon to filter the list of articles.

In the Filters panel, use the Apply My Preferences button to view articles for your preferred products.

Use the star icon « below an article's title to mark it as a favorite. To view your current list of favorites, select the KB Favorites button.

Products

This page is presented across three tabs.

  • Products - provides access to product, service pack, update and utility releases.

  • Solutions - lists product bundles and industry applications.

  • Drivers - includes OI, DA and other connectivity applications (including Plant SCADA's device drivers).

You can click on the following icon to Filter each tab.

In the Filter panel, use the Apply My Preferences to view items for your preferred products.

You can also launch the AVEVA Documentation portal from this page. To do this, click on the AVEVA Documents button.

Technology Matrix

Links to the AVEVA Technology Matrix website, which allows you to confirm if AVEVA software products align with your compatibility requirements.

Videos

Includes instructional videos for all AVEVA software products.

Product News

This page provides current information for your preferred products, including alerts, announcements and known issues.

Click on the following icon to Filter the information provided.

Email Subscriptions

Use this page to set, edit or delete your subscriptions. When the content for a subscription changes, you will receive an email notification.

To subscribe to articles, navigate to the Knowledge Base page, open an article, and click on the required Subscribe buttons.

Reports

Includes external and internal reports. Report access is determined by your site access permissions.

Community Forums

Links to the AVEVA Software Community (https://softwareforums.aveva.com/).

Select Citect Community to see the forums related to Plant SCADA.

Security Central

Provides the following security updates:

  • Microsoft™ Security Update Reports

  • Product Cyber Security Updates

  • Policies & Guidelines

  • Security Certifications and Compliance.

License Activation

Select Plant SCADA (Citect) to activate licenses for Plant SCADA. See Licensing for further instructions.
