Driver: Plant SCADA ABMLXEIP Driver

Check the Drivers tab on the Products page at the AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center for information about driver updates and new driver pack releases.

The ABMLXEIP driver was developed to enable communications between Plant SCADA and Allen-Bradley MicroLogix devices. It is an ABMLXEIP-type board driver, which supports communication using the Encapsulation protocol over EtherNet/IP.

Note: To communicate with MicroLogix devices via serial, use the ABDF1FD driver.

This driver supports reading and writing values for data files of various types, addressed in accordance with the DF1 protocol conventions.

Note: It is recommended that you use the ABMLXEIP driver with a version of Plant SCADA that is fully supported in accordance with AVEVA's Software Support Lifecycle and Retirement Policy. The driver will work with Citect SCADA 7.20 or later (or a later version of Plant SCADA), however it will not be fully tested or supported on these earlier versions. Search the AVEVA Support Site Technology Matrix to determine the support status for your current version of Plant SCADA.
