Define a Label

Labels allow you to reference a set of commands (or expressions) that are used repeatedly across a Plant SCADA project.

To define a label:

  1. In the Standards activity, select Labels.

  2. Add a row to the Grid Editor.

  3. Type the required information in each column, or in the fields in the Property Grid.

  4. Click Save.

Description

Label Name

A name of 128 characters or less. Whenever this name is used (for example, in Cicode or a field), Plant SCADA will automatically substitutes the expression below.

Expression

The expression to be substituted for the label (maximum length is 254 characters). You can use a label to substitute a name for an entity or a Cicode expression; for instance, when you need to use the entity or Cicode expression in several database records.

Comment

Any useful comment.

The project in which the label is included.
