Sets the time delay before a tool tip is displayed when the mouse pointer remains over an AN area containing an object with tool tip text configured.

If the mouse pointer is within an AN area (over an object) for the TipTimeOut period without an event occurring, the tool tip is displayed. After the first tool tip is shown, subsequent tool tips appear immediately as the operator moves the mouse between AN areas.

A displayed tool tip disappears if an event other than mouse movement occurs, or if the mouse pointer moves outside an AN area. To display a tool tip again, the mouse pointer must remain over an AN area for the configured TipTimeOut period without any event occurring.

Allowable Values:

200 to 20000 (milliseconds)

Default Value:

1000
