Data Types - Data Coercion

The ABCLX driver also supports a number of data conversions from a Plant SCADA data type to a native PLC data type. However, as it is possible to coerce from a large data type to a smaller one in both directions, care must be taken so that the range of the smaller type is respected, otherwise the driver will return BAD_DATA_TYPE back to Plant SCADA. It is recommended you only rely on these conversions where circumstances demand it.
