A valve symbol includes the EquipmentStatusLevel Wizard option to support a basic and advanced set of equipment states. The basic equipment states are Active and Passive. Besides the two basic equipment states, there are six additional advanced equipment states.

Fill animation of a valve symbol's port graphic elements identifies each equipment state. In the case of the Interlocked and Out of Service equipment states, icons appear on the valve head to identify the equipment state.

Only one EquipState custom property can be True while an application is running. If there are more than one EquipState custom properties set to True, the first listed custom property is selected to represent the equipment's run-time status.
