Configure a basic SA_KPIBar symbol using InTouch tags

A basic SA_KPIBar symbol is oriented horizontally and includes a label. Two custom properties need to be configured to show the current KPI value and the KPI tracker line. Optionally, a label can be specified for the symbol.

Prerequisites
This procedure explains how to configure a basic symbol using a reference to an InTouch tag.

Create two Real tags for the KPI and KPITracker custom properties.

Create an InTouch application with a window to verify that the symbol has been configured correctly.
Configure a basic SA_KPIBar symbol

Drop the symbol in a WindowMaker window.

Double-click on the symbol to show the Edit Symbol Properties dialog box.

Click the Custom Properties tab to show the default custom properties.

Select the KPI tag.

Click the Browse Galaxy button to the right of the Default Value field to show the Select Tag dialog box.

Assign an InTouch tag as the reference value of the KPI custom property.

Click OK to return to the Custom Properties dialog box.

Select the KPITracker custom property and repeat steps 5-7 to assign a tag.

If you want, assign optional string values as the symbol's label.

Right-click on the symbol, select Substitute, and then select Substitute Strings.

Enter a string value for Label and click OK.

Save your changes.

Run the application containing the symbol in WindowViewer to verify that your configuration changes are correct.
