The SA_Alarm_RuntimeBanner symbol provides a concise view of aggregate real time alarms from an area. The alarm client area typically shows 6 or 7 rows of current alarms to minimize the symbol's height. As its name suggests, the symbol is intended to be a banner that can be placed above or below a graphic representation of a single, specific area within a window. If you want to show active alarms from several areas, use the SA_Alarm_RuntimePage symbol instead.
The symbol includes a set of controls for operators to manage an area's real time alarms. The symbol includes a set of tabbed filters to show alarms by severity. Clicking on the Critical, High, Medium, or Low tab filters the alarms shown in the alarm client area to the matching severity. The All tab removes the severity filters and shows all enabled alarms. Also, alarms can be filtered by their shelving status or events can be shown in the alarm client area.

After setting the Shelved filter, operators can get more detail about a shelved alarm from the Shelved alarm details area of the symbol. The area shows the remaining shelving time of the selected shelved alarm and the reason why it was shelved.
Operators can acknowledge active alarms by clicking an acknowledgment button. Operators can also right-click on an alarm shown in the alarm client area to see a shortcut menu that includes acknowledgment options.
The command panel includes a control to change the mode of alarms by selecting a mode option from a list. The alarm summary area shows alarm and acknowledgment counts of alarms.
