An ArchestrA Area object's AlarmInhibit attribute is assigned as the reference value of the AlarmInhibit custom property. The Boolean value of the attribute indicates if the alarms of an area have been inhibited or not.
Operators can inhibit alarms in an area during run time from the Command field of the SA_AlarmSeverity symbol configured as an alarm panel. Operators select Inhibit from the symbol's alarm panel, which sets the AlarmInhibit custom property to True. When Alarm Border animation has been configured for the SA_AlarmSeverity symbol, the alarm indicator shows the area's alarms have been inhibited.
