An SA_MeterConnector symbol shows the current measured value on a meter and up to three most recent cached measured values using different line patterns.

The symbol's custom property naming convention identifies which end of the SA_MeterConnector line connects to a meter. Custom properties that begin with PV1 are intended to connect to a meter at the left line end. Custom properties that begin with PV2 are intended to connect to the meter at the right line end. If you orient the meters vertically by rotating them clockwise, The top end of the SA_MeterConnector symbol connects to the topmost meter symbol using the set of PV1Historical custom properties.

Connecting meters requires you to configure Wizard options on each connected meter symbol as well as configuring the SA_MeterConnector symbol. Each of the four lines of an SA_MeterConnector symbol connect to a meter at paired X and Y coordinate values.
The following procedure explains how to connect meters to show their current measured value and their three most recent cached values for a managed InTouch application.
To connect meter symbols with the SA_MeterConnector symbol
-
Embed an SA_MeterConnector symbol between two supported meter symbols on the canvas of the Industrial Graphic Editor.
The symbols do not need to touch each other. The lines are connected to the meters when the application is running.
-
For both meter symbols, set the MeterConnector Wizard option to True.
-
Assign an object attribute to the PV custom property of each meter.
Notice the set of PVHistorical custom properties of each meter. These are output custom properties and do not need to be assigned reference values.
-
Set the SA_MeterConnector's HistoricalValue Wizard option to True.
-
Right-click the SA_MeterConnector symbol and select Custom Properties.
-
Select the PV1Historical1Received custom property and assign it the PVHistorical1Received attribute of the meter that will connect to the left end of the SA_MeterConnector symbol.
-
Continue assigning SA_MeterConnector custom properties to similarly named object attributes for the two meter symbols.
The set of PV2Historical custom properties should be associated with the object attributes of the meter to the right of the SA_MeterConnector symbol.
