Configure a basic SA_OutputBar symbol using InTouch tags

The basic configuration of a SA_OutputBar symbol is an variable control output bar oriented horizontally. Three custom properties need to be configured to show fill animation along the length of the bar.

Prerequisites

To follow the steps of this procedure, create an InTouch tag that meet the following requirements:

  • Create a Memory Real tag to represent the output value shown on the bar.

    Note: Static values of 100 and 0 will be assigned to the OPMax and OPMin custom properties to set a range of possible OP values.

  • Create an InTouch application with a window to verify that the symbol has been configured correctly.

To configure a basic SA_OutputBar symbol using InTouch tags

  1. Drop the symbol in a WindowMaker window.

  2. Double-click on the symbol to show the Edit Symbol Properties dialog box.

  3. Click the Custom Properties tab to show the default custom properties.

  4. Select OP from the list of custom properties.

  5. Click the Browse Galaxy button to the right of the Default Value field to show the Select Tag dialog box.

  6. Assign an InTouch tag as the reference value of the OP custom property and click OK.

  7. Assign 100 as the value of the OPMax custom property.

  8. Assign 0 as the value of the OPMin custom property and click OK.

  9. Save your changes.

  10. Run the application containing the symbol in WindowViewer to verify that your configuration changes are correct.
