The SA_KPIBar symbol includes the DynamicRange Wizard option to calculate a KPI range on the symbol that provides better precision and the ability to show negative KPI values. When DynamicRange is set to True, the Range custom property appears to set an absolute range around the current KPI Tracker value. The calculations are:
-
Maximum KPI Range = KPI Tracker + Range
-
Minimum KPI Range = KPI Tracker - Range
When a KPI range is calculated with the Range custom property, the KPI Tracker is always at the midpoint of the dynamic KPI range.
Example:
You want to create a KPI meter that shows negative values.
-
Set the KPI Tracker to 0 or near 0.
-
Use a Range value large enough to create a full KPI range that should include your expected extreme KPI values.
