Configure a basic SA_SequenceButton symbol using InTouch tags

The basic configuration of the SA_SequenceButton symbol includes assigning strings to the label, Sequence Description, Phase Type, and the Phase Step. As part of a basic configuration, the symbol's equipment status indicator can be set to show basic Active and Passive states.

This procedure does not explain how to set strings to the symbol's labels. You can use the Substitute Strings feature to assign your strings.
Prerequisites
This procedure explains how to configure a basic symbol using references to InTouch tags.

Create two Discrete tags for the symbol's active and passive equipment states.

Create an InTouch application with a window to verify that the symbol has been configured correctly.
To configure a basic SA_SequenceButton symbol

Drop the symbol in a WindowMaker window.

Double-click on the symbol to show the Edit Symbol Properties dialog box.

Change the EquipmentStateIndicator Wizard option to True.

Click the Custom Properties tab to show the default custom properties.

Select the EquipStateActive custom property.

Click the Browse Galaxy button to the right of the Default Value field to show the Select Tag dialog box.

Assign an InTouch tag as the reference value of the EquipStateActive custom property.

Repeat steps 4-7 to set an InTouch tag as the reference for the EquipStatePassive custom property.

If you want, assign optional string values as the symbol's label.

Right-click on the symbol, select Substitute, and then select Substitute Strings.

Enter a string value for Label and click OK.

Save your changes.

Run the application containing the symbol in WindowViewer to verify that your configuration changes are correct.
