Polar Star symbols show a measured value on each spoke.Lines are drawn between adjacent spokes to their measured values to form a polygon. The shape of the polygon changes to reflect the changes in measured values.
To configure measured values on a Polar Star symbol
Polar Star symbols can be configured to use normalized or unnormalized setpoints. True is the default value of the NormalizedShape Wizard option, which creates normalized setpoints. The following table shows different combinations of custom properties used to show Polar Star measured values based on whether you want normalized setpoints or not.

Wizard options |
Custom properties |
NormalizedShape Wizard option: True | False |
SpokeXPV custom property: Assign a reference to a measured value to each spoke of a Polar Star symbol. Set for both normalized and unnormalized setpoints. |
SpokeXPVOperatingPercent custom property: Set an absolute percentage range around the setpoint value that represents the upper and lower limits of a full scale range of measured values on a spoke. Normalized setpoints only. |
SpokeXPVRangeFullScaleMax custom property: Assign a value that represents the maximum limit of measured values shown on a spoke. Unnormalized setpoints only. |
SpokeXPVRangeFullScaleMin custom property: Assign a value that represents the minimum limit of measured values shown on a spoke. Unnormalized setpoints only |
