Some equipment symbols show a motor symbol component that indicates that a motor runs pumps or other types of equipment represented by the symbol. In the case of the SA_MultiStagePump symbol, the motor symbol component can be oriented left or right based on a Wizard option selection.

There are two types of motors: Fixed and Variable. Fill animation of a Fixed motor indicates if the motor is running or not. Gray fill indicates the motor is running.

Variable motors can show other equipment states and the collective status of other pieces of equipment represented by a symbol's multiple equipment indicators.
