Configure a basic SA_AgitatorSettler symbol using ArchestrA attributes

The basic configuration of a SA_AgitatorSettler symbol is an agitator with a fixed speed motor. A custom property needs to be configured to show the active and passive states of the motor. Also, several custom properties need to be configured to show fill animation of the shaft, which typically represents the RPM of the motor.

Prerequisites
To follow the steps of this procedure, create ArchestrA objects that meet the following requirements:

Create an Analog PV field attribute

Enable I/O scaling with the input clamped to the EU range

Create a Boolean field attribute to indicate the state of the symbol's motor.

Create an InTouch application with a window to verify that the symbol has been configured correctly.
To configure a basic SA_AgitatorSettler symbol using ArchestrA attributes

Embed the symbol in another symbol in the Industrial Graphic Editor.

Select the symbol.

Right-click on the symbol and select Custom Properties from the shortcut menu to show the Custom Properties dialog box.

Select the EquipState custom property from the list and click the Galaxy Browser button to the right of the Default Value field.

Click the Attribute Browser tab and select an attribute from the list to assign to the custom property.

Assign a Boolean reference value to the EquipState custom property and click OK.

Assign reference values to the three PV custom properties.
Note: You can use the same steps that you selected the Boolean attribute for the EquipState custom property, or you can use other methods to assign the attribute references with Owning Objects or Substitute References.

If you want, assign an optional string to the symbol's label.

Right-click on the symbol, select Substitute, and then select Substitute Strings.

Enter strings for the different labels and click OK.

Save the symbol and check it in.

If necessary, deploy the Galaxy containing the object with attributes that are used as reference values of the custom properties.

Double-click an instance of InTouch ViewApp to start WindowMaker.

Create a new InTouch window and embed the symbol containing the symbol.

Run the application in WindowViewer to verify that your basic symbol configuration works correctly.
