The SA_Trend_MultiPen symbol supports 10 trend periods ranging from 1minute to a week. The number of vertical grid lines, time periods, and scale units change according to the selected trend period.

The default trend period is set as a reference value with the TimePeriod custom property and has a default length of 5 minutes. Operators can override the default period during run time by setting another period from the time period menu. If no value is set to TimePeriod, the symbol shows six vertical grid lines numbered 1 through 6 without a scale unit.If a trend period is set to a length that does not match one of the preset periods, time scales do not appear on the symbol.
