The Tabular pane is a simple interface for reviewing, entering and managing activities in the schedule. The Tabular pane shows all the assets in your model and allows material to be moved between the assets. You can see transfer rates for each movement of material and edit the unit settings.
The length of time shown for each row of the Tabular pane is controlled in the Tabular section of the General tab of the General page in the Settings section.
To change the zoom level of the grid, hold down Ctrl while rotating the wheel button of your mouse, or use the zoom controls in the bottom left corner of the pane.
To transpose the grid, so that rows become columns and vice versa, click the
icon in the pane toolbar, or press Ctrl + T.
You can move around the Tabular pane, and to the Gantt pane, in the following ways:
-
To move horizontally through the table, hold down Shift while rotating the wheel button of your mouse.
-
Click the Go to Asset icon (
) in the toolbar to reveal a list of assets. Click an asset to go to its position
in the table. There are no changes if you click an asset not included in the current
view.
-
Click the Show on Gantt icon (
) in the toolbar to move to the selected asset and time in the Gantt chart.
-
Click the Show Target on Gantt icon (
) in the toolbar to move to the selected time and to the selected transfer source
or destination asset in the Gantt chart.
Note that clicking either the Show on Gantt or the Show Target on Gantt icon does not open the Gantt chart automatically.
From the Tabular pane several workflows are possible:
-
Create new imports and exports.
-
Unload material from imports to tanks.
-
Move material between tanks and assets.
-
Edit activities and configurations.

Select values
You can select a contiguous range of cells in two ways:
-
Click the cell at one corner of the range you want to select, then drag to the opposite corner.
-
Click the cell at one corner of the range you want to select, then click the cell at the opposite corner while holding down Shift.
When you select a range with at least two non-empty cells, one or more of the following values appear in the status bar at the bottom of the Tabular pane:
-
The Average of the numerical values in the selected cells.
-
The Count of non-empty cells. There is a separate count of non-empty cells with numerical values, labeled as Numerical Count.
-
The Min and Max numerical values in the selection.
-
The Sum of all numerical values in the selection.
The Count value is displayed if the selection contains at least two non-empty cells. The other values are displayed if the selection contains at least two cells with numerical values.
To choose which of these values to display, right-click on the status bar and click an entry from the list to show or hide it. Only the entries with a tick mark are displayed for a selection. All are initially enabled by default.
Your selection of which values to display is saved as a local user preference, without you having to save the case explicitly, and is applied to all Tabular views in all Displays. Your selection is not shared with other users via the Synchronize pane.

Views
In the Tabular pane, the View menu in the toolbar allows you to choose which columns are shown. A view is a collection of columns in a given order.

Manage views

Use the View Manager to create, copy, rename and delete views. To open the View Manager, click the Manage Views icon (
) in the Tabular pane toolbar.
The following four tasks are available from the View Manager:
-
Create views: Click the
button. Enter a name for the new View and click OK. Select the Shared check box if you want to share the new view with other users of this case. You must
commit the model for the view to become available to other users.
-
Copy views: Select the view you want to copy from the drop-down menu. Click the
button. Accept or modify the default name for the copy and click OK.
-
Rename views: Select the view you want to rename from the drop-down menu. Click the
button. Enter a new name for the view and click OK.
-
Delete views: Select the view you want to delete from the drop-down menu. Click the
button. The view is deleted immediately.
Delete columns
To delete one or more columns, select them in the grid and do either of the following:
-
Click the Delete Column icon (
) in the Tabular pane toolbar.
-
Right-click in the grid and choose Delete Column from the context menu.
To select a column it is enough to select a single cell within the column.
Move columns
To move one or more columns, select them in the grid and do either of the following:
-
Click the Move Column Left (
) or Move Column Right (
) icon in the Tabular pane toolbar.
-
Right-click in the grid and choose Move Column Left or Move Column Right from the context menu.
To select a column it is enough to select a single cell within the column.
Rename columns
To rename a column, do one of the following:
-
Double-click the column name in the grid.
-
Select any cell in the column and click the Rename Column icon (
) in the Tabular pane toolbar.
-
Right-click on any cell in the column and choose Rename Column from the context menu.
The Rename Column dialog window opens. Enter a new name and click OK. The default column name appears in the Column field, making it easier to restore it.

Export views to Excel or CSV

To export the current view to an Excel or CSV file, click the Export to File icon in the Tabular pane toolbar, and follow the prompts of the dialog that opens.
Tip: You can also select and copy part of a view and paste it directly into an Excel spreadsheet.
Customize colors
You can customize the fill and text colors of various regions of the Tabular pane via the Appearance entry of the context menu. This gives access to palettes to change the text and fill colors, and to an option to reset the colors to their default values.

You can change the colors of the following regions (swap column for row if the table is transposed):
-
Column header: right-click on a header cell.
-
Selection: right-click on a cell inside the selected area.
-
Column: right-click on any cell in the column.
-
Weekday: right-click on a row header. All the row header cells corresponding to the selected weekday in the scheduling period are customized.
Choose Custom Colors from the Show toolbar menu to enable or disable any custom colors you have defined.
Units of measure
The Tabular pane inherits units of measure from several different places within Schedule. The place where the unit of measure is defined depends on the type of asset. For example, in the Feeds and Tanks pages you can define the default unit of measures for the corresponding asset types.
Tip: You can show values in a column in multiple units of measure. See Insert Columns for more details.
