Compare values using watch sets

Use the Watch window to review and edit model data. To open it, click the button in the Home ribbon tab.

The Watch window for Network models works mostly in the same way as in other AVEVA Unified Supply Chain environments. You can do the following:

• Retrieve specific values from your solution

• Compare cases with each other

• Group information together in watch sets, and export this to Excel.

There are some differences, which are highlighted in the remainder of this topic.

Firstly, the Watch window for a multi-period case contains several column groups. In addition to a column group showing watch item values for the multi-period case itself, it contains column groups showing watch items values for each period.

As shown in the next figure, the type of each case is identified by an icon in the corresponding column header: a icon for planning cases (like the per-period cases) and a icon (or a icon if you only have a Plan license) for the multi-period case.

If you open a plant case from within the multi-period case, the Watch window still shows column groups for all periods.

You can customize the way result values are shown in the Watch window via the following toolbar icons:

• Click the icon to add a green background to the table cells showing solution values. The intensity of the background color is proportional to the cell value, allowing you to quickly compare values across cases.

• Click the icon to toggle the display of rows where the solutions values are the same for all cases. To the right of the icon you can set the tolerance, in percentage units, for considering two solution values identical.
