Group sensitivity items

Sensitivities can be analyzed in groups. Items in the same group are stepped together, while items which do not belong to a group are stepped independently. Groups allow items which commonly change in sync to be analyzed together. For example, if one gasoline price changes, then all gasoline prices tend to change. Hence when analyzing the change in gasoline price a number of steps on different gasoline products should be analyzed in blocks.
Each group is analyzed separately, along with those items not assigned to groups which are also analyzed separately. To add a new group:
-
Click Manage Groups in the Sensitivity group of the Home ribbon tab.
-
In the Manage Groups dialog click Add to add a new group.
-
Enter a name for the new group, and if required enter descriptive text for each scenario.
To remove a group:
-
Click Manage Groups in the Sensitivity group of the Home ribbon tab.
-
Select the group to remove.
-
Click the Remove button.
Consider an example in which we have Gasoline (Premium) and Gasoline (Regular) assigned to Group 1, and the maximum constraint for Reformer Capacity not assigned to any group. There are two scenarios.

The generated case stack shows that the gasoline prices are varied together as part of their group, while the reformer capacity is varied independently.
