Replace plant models

You can make small edits to plants by editing the relevant case within a Network model. If significant changes to a plant are required, it may be necessary to remove the old single-plant case from the Network model and then insert a new copy. This can be useful, for example, if there is a change in the topology of a single-plant model which is configured outside the Network model, and this change needs to be made in the Network model too.

  1. Edit model info

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

Click Model Info in the Supply Chain Models group of the Home ribbon tab. The Edit Network Model dialog window opens (Model Info Dialog).

  2. Replace plant models

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

Select the plants to remove and click the Replace button icon to replace the selected case.

  3. Select new plant cases

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

Select the single-plant cases you want to replace the old cases with. Click OK to confirm your choice.

  4. Confirm changes

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

Click OK to close the Edit Network Model dialog window and confirm your changes.

Warning: Replacing a plant only brings in the new plant topology and model definition. You must manually add the purchases and sales of the new plant to the Supplies and Demands tables.
It may be easier to re-build the network model using the Multi-Period wizard. This recreates the Supplies and Demands tables.
