You can group columns into bands. For example, in the following figure the Solution, Marginal, Start Date and End Date columns are grouped under the Optimization band.

Sort columns

You can sort columns by clicking on the column header, or by right-clicking and choosing the sort direction. Clicking the header again toggles the sort direction.

Tip: You can sort by multiple columns by holding the Shift key and choosing the next column to sort by. For example, to sort by name and then solution click the name column, then hold Shift and click the solution column. Using the right-click context menu will also add the subsequent columns to the sort rather than resetting the sort.

Order columns

You can reorder columns by clicking on the column header and dragging it to the required position.

Group by columns

You can group rows by column value using the Group By box, or by choosing the Group By This Column option for the grid header context menu. When a column is grouped, all rows with the same entry for the selected column are shown in a group.

The Group By box shows the columns which are currently grouped, and the order in which grouping is applied. Columns can be added to the Group By Box by clicking on their header and dragging the mouse to the Group By Box.

Multiple groupings can be used to further separate row items. When multiple groupings are in use the order of grouping is shown in the Group By box. The order can be changed by dragging the column name to the correct location in the hierarchy.

Add and remove columns

The Column/Band Chooser allows the visible columns and bands to be changed. Columns and bands can be hidden and restored by dragging them to the Chooser dialog, and by dragging them back to the table header, respectively.

Before and after hiding two columns:

Hidden columns are shown in the Columns tab of the Column/Band Chooser dialog. They can be added back to the view by dragging the column name into the appropriate position in the grid. Release the mouse button when you see two vertical arrows pointing toward each other. The arrows shows the position where the column will be placed.

Columns can also be hidden by clicking on the column header and dragging the column outside the grid.

Similarly, hidden bands are shown in the Bands tab of the Column/Band Chooser dialog. You can hide and restore bands by dragging just as you do with single columns.
