Maximum Property Change

Settings in the Advanced Settings page are shared among all users of Schedule AI Assistant for the refinery site. Any changes made in this page affect all users.
You can define the maximum instantaneous change for a property. This ensures that too abrupt changes in values for the property are avoided. Optionally, you can let users configure the maximum property change for their optimizations, within the boundaries you set.

To show the Group and Description information for a setting, as shown in the previous image, click the ellipsis icon
(
) at the end of the row and then the downward arrow icon (
).

To create a maximum property change setting, follow these steps:

Click the Create Maximum Property Change link. The Create Maximum Property Change pane opens.

Enter a Title for the new setting.

Select the Node the maximum property change applies to. As you start typing, a list of matching node names appears. Click on a list item to select the node.

Enter the name of the Property the maximum property change applies to. As you start typing, a list of matching property names appears. Click on a list item to select the property.

Enter the Value of the maximum property change.

Enable the Editable switch if you want users to be able to edit the maximum property change setting in the My Setup pane of the Setup Run page, within the boundaries you establish.
If you do not want to make the setting editable, the following steps do not apply. Click Create to create the new maximum property change.

Enter the name of the unit of measure (UoM) for the maximum property change.

Enter a Description for the setting. This appears under the setting name in the My Setup pane.

Enter a Group for the setting. This is a heading under which this maximum property change setting appears in the My Setup pane. You should assign related settings to the same group.

Enter a Lower Limit and an Upper Limit for the setting, in the unit of measure you specified. This defines the range of maximum property change values users can set. For example, you may want the maximum change in total sulfur content to be between 0 and 3%.

Enter an Increment value. This defines the amount of change when users click the left or right arrow icons in the setting. For example, enter 0.1 if you want the maximum sulfur content change to increase or decrease by 0.1% when the icons are clicked.

Click Create to create the new maximum property change.
To edit a maximum property change setting:

Click the ellipsis icon (
) at the end of the corresponding row of the Maximum Property Change pane. A list of additional icons appears.

Click the
icon. The Edit Maximum Property Change pane opens. This has the same fields as the Create Maximum Property Change pane.

Once you have made your changes, click Update.
To delete a maximum property change setting:

Click the ellipsis icon (
) at the end of the corresponding row of the Maximum Property Change pane. A list of additional icons appears.

Click the
icon. The Remove Maximum Property Change? dialog box opens.

Click Remove. The setting is deleted.
Note: After you have made changes to the Advanced Settings page, you must click the Save button at the bottom right corner of the window before leaving the page. If you try to leave the page by clicking Back to optimize and there are unsaved changes, you are prompted to save them.
