Feeds are places where material can enter or exit the plant. Feeds are usually associated with ship movements but can be equally used to represent pipeline or tank transfers. The feeds shown in the Feeds page match the feed units added to the flowsheet on which the scheduling case is based (see: Manage your Feedstocks).
You can choose to show only a subset of feeds by creating an asset filter, and choosing it from the Assets list in the Views group of the Home ribbon tab.
Two sets of columns are shown in the table:
-
Feed Rate: Defaults and warnings for the rate at which material is moved from the incoming vessel to the feed. Defaults are used to define units of measure in the Tabular pane and when creating activities.
-
Draw Rate: Defaults and warnings for the rate at which material is unloaded from the feed to the downstream asset.
In addition, the UoM column under Inventory allows you to choose the unit of measure for the amounts of material arriving to, or departing from, a feed.
Tip: Filter the list via the Filter menu and configure which columns are shown, and in what order, via the View menu. See the Grids topic for more information.
