AVEVA™ Unified Supply Chain

Other Plan and Network fixes and improvements

The general stability and reliability of Plan and Network have been improved since the last version. In addition, the following improvements have been made:

  • Resolved an issue that could cause AVEVA Unified Supply Chain to stop working in rare circumstances when optimizing a case.

  • Resolved an issue that could cause utility-related active infeasibility breakers to appear in the Solution Metrics window but not in the Last Run diagnostics. This was due to the utility total flux falling below the tolerance threshold.

  • The Xpress library has been upgraded. Every care has been taken to ensure that your optimization results remain consistent with those obtained in previous releases.

The FixGlobalsAndSLPPenaltiesBeforeReturningSolution additional run setting is no longer necessary as a result of this upgrade, and has therefore been removed. Using this setting now causes an error during optimization.

  • An Unexpected error occurred diagnostic message could be issued when a feedstock lacked required density or gas specific volume. Now an appropriate diagnostic message is issued instead, mentioning the feedstock lacking the required property.

  • The UseLegacyProblemBuilder additional run setting is no longer supported, and generates an error if used. Only the new and enhanced problem builder is supported.

  • Resolved an issue the could cause the table in the Case Comparison window for a case stack to be empty in rare circumstances.

  • When a group (such as a purchase group) was deleted, it was not correctly removed from any other groups it was a member of. This would in turn cause optimization to fail. The issue has now been resolved.

  • The deprecated InitializationStrategy additional run setting is no longer supported, and generates an error if used.

Use instead the Enable Randomization Control option in the Optimization Starting Point page of the Run Settings dialog.

For example, a value of 128 for the InitializationStrategy run setting corresponds to Enable Randomization Control enabled with just the Purchases check box selected.
