Once the search for recommended schedules is complete, you can create and edit graphs to further examine your results. Follow these steps:

  1. Click Design in the Graphs pane of the Analysis page. The Design dialog opens.

Hand mouse icon on the Design button in the Graphs pane

  2. Click Add Graph. The dialog expands to show additional fields. You can click the Trash can icon icon at any time to cancel the graph creation.

  3. If desired, enter a title for the graph in the Title field.

  4. Click Add Series to show the list of data series. Currently Inventory Level and Flow Rate are available.

The Design pane with options to enter a graph title and one or more data series

  5. Click the data series you want to add. You can add multiple series, of the same or different types. Further configuration options appear for each series you add.

The Design pane with added title and two data series

  6. Configure each series as desired:

    • For an Inventory Level series, choose a tank add and the unit of measure for the amount.

    • For a Flow Rate series, choose an asset, the unit of measure for the flow and whether to plot the input or output flow. Note that outflows from a distillation unit are represented as inputs to sale nodes, so you have to select Inflow in that case.

    • For any series, click the colored box on the corresponding row to choose a different color for the series data on the graph.

    • To delete a series, click the Trash can icon icon on the corresponding row.

You can add inventory levels and flow rates to the same graph, and also choose different units of measure for different series. The range of the Y axis is calculated automatically to include the range of each series in the chosen unit of measure.

The Design pane with a color palette open to choose a data series color

  7. Click Save. The graph is created.
