Add a new process model to a process unit

To add a new process model to a selected process unit:

1. Click Add in the Process Model group of the Home ribbon tab. Click Add Existing in the menu that appears. The Select Process Unit Model dialog box opens.

2. From the list of process models, select the one you want to add. Choose a process model of a Type compatible with the process unit.

3. Click OK.

4. If the process model you have chosen is already linked to other units, you can choose whether to create a copy of the model or use the existing model. Make your choice and click OK. The process model is added to the Process Models pane.

   

   Tip: You can drag a process model from the Database Toolbox onto the flowsheet to create a process unit containing this process model, with the same number of inputs and outputs as the process model. If necessary, change the number of input and output pipes on the process unit to match the asset in the plant.
