Effective Price available in reporting

Effective price is commonly used where materials are sold in a different basis to their price and reference density is necessary for fair conversion - this helps standardise prices for those businesses trading in this manner. Effective price is now available in Publish Data output for purchases and sales simplifying reporting workflows.

Along with Publish Data, Effective Price has been added to Case Comparison Reports. The sale price (in weight) thus has an effective price (in volume terms) - this is the sale price (in weight) multiplied by the ratio of reference density to actual blended density.

Blender Units of Measure retained

Blenders now retain the last selected unit of measure used to display flows, helping users configure results to match their personal preferences.

Watch Sets View can be saved and shared

Watch Set Views can be saved and loaded, allowing users to share their preferred views with colleagues. You can now save and load Views from Watch Item Lists so you can select a subset of columns and save/import those views so that users can share the same views with their colleagues to simplify knowledge sharing.

Watch Set Views saved between sessions

The Watch Set View now stays selected for each Watch Set. When you restart, or change between Watch Sets, the previously selected View is remembered helping manage the context and display of information saved with each set.

New CaseItem Functions for Share, Models and Cases

Several new functions have been added to work with CaseItem, allowing retrieval of shares, models and cases - this allows dynamic spreadsheets to be built for easier result sharing. Alongside working with single cases, CaseItem has also been improved in its handling of analytics allowing reports to respond dynamically to changes in analytic settings and structure.

Example Templates for CaseItem and PowerBI Reporting and Analysis workflows

Example CaseItem and PowerBI templates are included in the installer for reporting and analysis workflows - these should be used as a starting point for customized workflows based on local models, simplifying reporting and helping solve common modelling problems. Templates may need parameters updating to work with the exact configuration in use.

Available templates include:

• Cluster Analysis - used with Optimization Analysis output to identify sticky structures in a model by comparing across start points

• Example Database Views Network v1 - PowerBI template for default Publish Data output for Network models highlighting flows and comparing across plants and periods

• Example Database Views Plan v1 - PowerBI template for default Publish Data output for Plan models highlighting flows and comparing across cases

• Example Plan Case Item Report - Excelsheet documenting CaseItem functions for single cases, case stacks and analytics demonstrating dynamic reporting capabilities

• Infeasibility Analysis IIS v2 - used with Optimization Analysis output to diagnose infeasibility issues through the use of IIS (Irreducible Infeasible Subsets) data

• Infeasibility Analysis IIS v2 - PowerBI template used with Optimization Analysis output to review solution performance across start points identifying problem variables and equations

Flows and Properties available for hidden pipes

Clicking on hidden pipes in the flowsheet now shows the flows and properties for that pipe - this improves result analysis in complex flowsheets with many views allowing faster drilling into solution results which were previously hidden.
