Feedstocks

  • Last UpdatedAug 11, 2025

The Feedstocks page shows the feedstocks available in the network. Feedstocks are materials such as crude oil, blending imports like ethanol or finished grades from exchanges that may be purchased by or transferred to nodes. Feedstocks are added automatically when plant models are associated with the network, or can be entered manually.

The Feedstocks page shows only the materials that are available in the network. Actual flows of feedstock at each supply must be defined in the Supplies grid in terms of their price and availability. Feedstocks can only be associated with supply nodes, so if a feed of material is required at a location a supply node must be available there. In other words, it is not possible to supply a feedstock directly to a plant node. The feedstock is added to the a supply node and then transported to the plant via a transport link.
