The Supplies page may have multiple price sets associated with it. Price sets match supply traded materials to registered prices in the selected price set scenarios. Click Manage in the Price Sets group of the Home ribbon tab to manage pricing scenarios.
If a supply spans multiple periods, and there is a price set containing time-based scenarios, in each period the supply takes the price from the relevant price set scenarios. For example, if the price set contains a January and February scenario, then for a supply which spans both these months then the January price is used for the supply in the January period, and the February price is used for the supply in the February period.
If the price set scenarios do not match the period dates, the final supply price for a period is taken using the weighted average of the price set prices. For example, if there is a February and March period, but 12 pricing scenarios for the first 12 weeks of the year, the February period price is taken as the average of the week 5 - 8 prices.
Alternatively, if there are scenarios for weeks 1 - 3, 3 - 6, 6 - 9 and 9 - 12, the February period price is taken as 1/3 set 3 - 6 and 2/3 set 6 - 9.
Tip: You can also manage price sets from the Details page and the Price Sets page.
