Import and export process models

You can export a process model to file to securely store it offline and share it with other users. The model can then be imported into another AVEVA Unified Supply Chain installation, provided that the target DataLayer server contains all the reference data needed by the model, such as traded materials, process unit types and so on.
You have the option to password protect an exported model, so that it cannot be imported without knowing the password. In addition, the contents of the process model remain hidden even after it has been imported. On the Process Units page of the Plan environment, the Enable Edit button is disabled in the Process Model tab, and the model details are hidden in the Model Structure tab. If a password-protected process model is copied, the copy retains the same level of protection.
To export a process model:

Right-click the process model table row and choose Export Model from the context menu.
The Export Process Model dialog opens.
-
-
Select the folder where you want to save the exported model and enter the desired file name. Click Save.
-
Click Yes in the next dialog if you want to password protect the process model file.
-
If you clicked Yes in the previous step, enter a password and click OK.

Click OK in the confirmation dialog.
To import a process model:

If the model contains missing blend rules or properties, the Map Process Model Data dialog opens. For each missing blend rule and property, select the correct entry from the list in the Destination column. Click OK when finished.
-
Click OK in the confirmation dialog. If the model cannot be imported because of missing data items in the target DataLayer server, a list of missing items is shown.
