Many of the pop-up windows used to display information in AVEVA Unified Supply Chain can be docked to the main application window instead of remaining floating.

To dock a window:
-
Click on the header of the tool window you want to dock to give the window focus.
-
Drag the tool window toward the middle of the application window. A guide diamond appears with four arrows pointing toward the edges of the available workspace.
-
Move the window to the arrow of the guide diamond corresponding to the position where you wish to dock the window. For example, to dock the window to the right-hand side of the application window, move the window to the guide arrow pointing right.
-
The application workspace will change color to highlight where the docked window will appear. Release the mouse to dock the window in the selected position.
To undock a window and make it floating again:
-
Click and hold the header of a docked window or tab of a tabbed window you wish to release from its position.
-
Drag the window away from its position until the guide diamond appears.
-
Release the mouse anywhere to float the window above the main workspace, or drag the window to the guide diamond to dock it to a different part of the application workspace.
Tip: You can hold the Ctrl key while dragging a window to prevent docking.
This is not supported in parts of the scheduling environment, such as Displays and the Multi Blend Environments (Multi Feed Blend Environment, Multi Product Blend Environment, Multi Pipeline Blend Environment).
Hide docked windows
A docked window can be configured to automatically hide when not in use. To hide docked windows do either of the following:

The window is displayed while the mouse is over the window area. When the mouse is moved off the are the window will hide again, displaying only its tab. To fix the window open the window must be pinned.
