The Model Explorer is what you see when you start AVEVA Unified Supply Chain. It allows you to view, organize and open the models you have access to. A model is the basic container for all the information required by AVEVA Unified Supply Chain to produce results.
A model contains one or more cases in a hierarchy. The master case is the ancestor of all the other cases in the model, and defines the basic settings used to simulate the various process units. The master case contains the flowsheet, which defines the topology and connectivity within the supply chain model.

The Model Explorer is divided into three areas:
-
Supply Chain Models tab: shows the list of available supply chain models, grouped by share.
-
Case list: shows the cases contained within the selected supply chain model.
-
Reference Data tab: shows several categories of global data shared by all supply chain models.
You can resize, move, dock and undock the various panes in the Model Explorer. The configuration you set up is restored each time you start AVEVA Unified Supply Chain. If you want to go back to the default configuration, click Restore Default in the View Management group of the Tools ribbon tab.
