In the Charts window you can plot the properties of process units and other assets over time. Information shown in the Charts window is defined by the selected view, which you can choose from the View drop-down list. You can open the Charts window from the Display page, the Multi Feed Blend Environment, the Multi Product Blend Environment, the Multi Pipeline Blend Environment and the Reconciliation Environment by clicking the Charts button in the Panes group of the Home ribbon tab.

To move a chart and change its order in a view, click and drag the chart. You can also select the chart and click the Left arrow icon and Right arrow icon icons in the toolbar.

To delete one or more charts, select them and click the Delete chart icon icon in the toolbar.

To plot any baselines and override values on one or more charts, select them and click the Show baseline icon icon in the toolbar.

Merge charts

Several charts in the chart window can be merged into the same chart so they all display using the same Y axis. This is useful, for example, to compare simulated and actual data, or to join related property values like paraffins and aromatics for comparison.

To merge several charts into the same chart:

  1. Add the charts to be merged to current view.

  2. Select the charts which should be merged together.

  3. Click the Merge icon Merge charts icon in the chart dialog.

Manage views

Follow these steps to add a view:

  1. Click the Edit view icon icon in the Charts pane toolbar. The Charts View Manager window opens.

  4. Select Shared if you want to make the view available to other users when they check out the scheduling case. You must commit the model for the view to become available.

  5. In the Category pane, select the data category from which you want to add data items. For example, select items under Process Units if you want to plot data about one or more process units.

  6. In the Items pane, select the data items you want to include in the view.

  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have added all the data items of interest.

  8. Click OK to close the Charts View Manager window.

To delete the selected view, click the Delete view button button in the toolbar.
