Check out models for editing

You can check out a shared supply chain model from the server, enabling you to have unique permission to edit the model. When a supply chain model is checked out, other users cannot edit the model, but can continue to use any previously synchronized version of the supply chain model they have.

Follow these steps to check out a model:

1. Select the model to check out in the Supply Chain Models tab.

2. Do either of the following:

   • Click Check Out in the Sharing group of the Home ribbon tab.

   • Right-click the model name and choose Check Out from the context menu.

A checked out model is marked by the icon.

Once you have made your changes to the checked-out model, you commit your changes back to the server. Other users can then click Get to update their versions of the supply chain model.
