Configure a list field that is mapped to the database

Read-only list field

A Read-only Text field displays text values from the OSM database that cannot be edited by the user. Note that all Datasource fields starting with WO and WP will insert a single value into the form. See Configure a read-only field that is mapped to the database.

However, the list field items can display multiple values in the form. The field on the form must be mapped to a logical field in the OSM database.

When populated, the work permit form will display the ID number for items that are attached to the work permit on the References tab.

Attachment on the Reference tab

• Isolation lists – IL numbers will display in the form field in list form separated by comma for any isolation lists attached to the work permit. However, only two IL numbers can be visible. If there are more than two, the list displays ellipses (…) followed by the total number of attached isolations lists.

  For example:

• Risk assessment lists. TRA numbers will display in the form field in list form separated by comma. However, only two TRA numbers can be visible. If there are more than two, the list displays ellipses (…) followed by the total number of attached risk assessments.

• SJA lists. SJA numbers will display in the form field in a list form separated by comma. However, only two SJA numbers can be visible. If there are more than two, the list displays ellipses (…) followed by the total number of attached SJAs.

  For example:

• Tag lists. The tag number will display in the form field in a list form separated by comma.

  For tags, the fields will display as many tags as can display in the space of the form field. For tags, there is no calculation to let you know how many tags are attached.

  The list of tags will always contain all tags even if there is not enough space to display. If the tag name is too long to display, the tag name will be truncated.

Configure a read-only list field

1. Select the field in the form.

2. In the properties panel, specify the Edit as property as Read-only text.

   

3. From the Datasource drop-down list, select the relevant logical field to map this form field to the database.

   

4. Click Save in the Work Permit Form Editor.
