Configure ability to extend work permits

The ability to extend work permits is configured on the process of the work permit entity. When a user performs that process on the work permit, the process dialog box will contain the option to extend the activation time of the work permit.

You will need to enable the wmm_workpermit_allowextension prog value on a process of the work permit entity.

Note: The destination status of the process must be Active.

To view enabled prog values on the work permit entity

1. From the Tools menu, open the System management menu.

2. Double-click to open Entities and Workflows.

   

3. Right-click the wmm_workpermit entity and click Accessible prog. values on the context menu.

   

4. On the View of accessible prog values window, locate the wmm_workpermit_allowextension prog value. This is the prog value that needs to be applied to a work permit process to enable a work permit to be extended. Here, you can see whether the prog value has been applied to any statuses or process of the work permit.

   

To add ability to extend work permits to a process

5. Right-click the wmm_workpermit entity and click Processes on the context menu.

   

6. On the Processes window, locate a process for which the destination status is Active.

   

7. Right-click the process and select Change prog. values on the context menu.

   

8. Select the In use checkmark next to wmm_workpermit_allowextension and click Apply.
