Set work permit extension settings

Extending activation on work permit types

The Extension settings determine the maximum number of hours to extend the activation of a work permit, if it is extended, and also the default extension time.

The default value is the preselected time value in the web application interface when user requests extension. The user can use the default number of hours or specify the number of hours for the extension up to the maximum allowed hours.

Guidelines

• The Duration + Maximum extension together cannot exceed 24 hours. For example, for a work permit type with a duration of 12 hours, the maximum extension is 12 hours.

• Extension will not work until it is enabled on a process for the work permit type. See Configure ability to extend work permits.

Configure the extension settings for a work permit type

1. On the Main menu, double-click Work permit type.

   

2. On the Work permit type window, under Extension settings, set the values for:

   • Maximum - Enter an integer number to specify maximum number of hours that user can extend a work permit activation.

   • Default - Enter an integer number to specify default number of hours for work permit extension.

     

3. Click Save on the main toolbar.
