Work permit icon states

  • Last UpdatedNov 29, 2024

The appearance of work permit icons on a plot plan can change depending on the status of the workflow.

The default state is New when the work permit is first plotted on the plot plan. However, as the work permit moves to a Planned state, an Active state, or an Inactive state, the icon can be configured to change to indicate the current status of the work permit. This enables the viewer of the plot plan to know what type of work permit it is, and what workflow state the work permit is currently in.

Configure work permit statuses to display different icons

  1. From the Tools menu, open the System management menu.

  2. Double-click Entities and Workflows.

  3. Right-click the work permit entity and select Accessible prog. values.

In the list of prog values available to the work permit entity, notice the following three prog values.

    • wmm_workpermit_plotactive

    • wmm_workpermit_plotinactive

    • wmm_workpermit_plotplanned

These prog values, when assigned to a status, instruct the system to use the version of the work permit icon for that particular status category.

Tip Right-click one of these prog values and select Prog.value report to see configuration of the prog value.

  4. Go back to the Maintenance of entities and workflow window, right-click the work permit entity again and select Statuses.

  5. On the Statuses window, select each relevant status and apply the appropriate prog value to that status.
