Pre stage

The Pre stage defines the set of statuses before the object (for example, a work permit) has started on its main purpose.
This stage must always include the starting point for a life cycle, normally the status New.

Example statuses that belong to the Pre stage

These are examples of Pre stage statuses:

  • New

  • For approval

  • Technical approval

  • Cleared for work

Example statuses for work permit

For a work permit, the statuses in the Pre-stage can be:

  • New

  • For approval

  • Approve

Assign a status to Pre stage

  1. On the Tools menu, point to System management and click Entities and Workflows.

  2. Right-click the entity and click Statuses on the context menu.

  3. Next to Life cycle stage, click the drop-down arrow to show the list and select Pre.
