The default zoom level is the magnification level that will display when user opens a plot plan image in the Web application. There can be up to five levels of magnification saved for images in the database.
For example:
-
Zoom level 1
-
Zoom level 2
-
Zoom level 3
-
Zoom level 4
-
Zoom level 5
You can specify which zoom level to use as default when opening images. This is a global setting and is configured by the Site parameters.

How zoom level behavior for plot plans works
-
Default behavior - The default behavior is that the first click on a plot plan will render in the default zoom level for the site. If the user changes the magnification, this new zoom level will be preserved when changing from plot plan to plot plan within the same site. The zoom level does not return to the site default zoom level, unless the user changes sites.
-
Configured behavior - It's possible to configure the zoom behavior to revert to the plot plan default zoom level, or site default zoom level, each time the plot plan is selected by enabling the viewPlotPlanZoomLevelEqualSite application setting. In this case, the zoom level will always be equal to default zoom level when a plot plan is selected, and it will not remember current zoom level.
-
Each plot plan can have its own default zoom level, which can be configured on the Plot plan window. If a plot plan does not have a default zoom level, then default zoom level on the site is used.
