Send action item to OSM user

When configuring a process, you can specify whether the performing the process will trigger a message to another user.

• Send action item to OSM user - This option will create a new action in the recipient's My Actions list. If SMTP Settings are configured, OSM will also send an email message to the user. You must also configure Assign recipient roles to a process.

• Requires message to co-worker - Enforces the writing of message text to recipient.

Person

• is required - After a recipient role is selected, a specific person must be selected. The selected person receives an Action item and an email.

• is optional - After a recipient role is selected, selecting a specific person is optional. The selected person receives an Action item and an email.

• cannot be selected - After a recipient role is selected, selecting a specific person is not possible. An Action item is sent to all members of recipient role.

  Note: The SMTP Settings in the Application Settings window must be configured for email functions to work.
