You can add links in the EAM system that will directly open OSM in a browser window and go to the specified work order.
Syntax for the URL
The syntax for direct link is as follows:
https://<OSM Web URL>/#/OpenWorkOrderWithExternalID/<Work Order External ID>
The work order external ID refers to the ID of the work order in the external EAM system. This is not the OSM work order number, unless they are the same.
Example URL
https://osm_domain_name.company.com/prod/#/OpenWorkOrderWithExternalID/PW0000030000004
Add direct link from EAM system to OSM
Create a link in EAM with the correct syntax and, when clicked, it will open OSM in a browser to go directly to the work order.
If there is a current session, the browser window opens right to work order. If there is no current session available, the user will need to login to OSM first before accessing the work order.
Jumping from EAM to OSM will set preferred site
Clicking a link from an external EAM system to jump to a work order in OSM web application will set the preferred site in OSM web application. The site for the work order will be used to set the preferred site.
