Use this list as a basic guideline for setting up your work permit types.

Plan your work permit types

Decide the work permit types that will be used for the Site.

  • Decide how many work permit types you will need at the Site and what they will be used for.

Plan out the workflow for work permits. All work permit types in the same Site share the same workflow.

  • Plan the statuses and workflow actions you will need for the work permit workflow.

Add work permit types

Each Site will have its own set of work permit types and subtypes.

  • Add your work permit types. Give each type a Code and a Name.

Specify the scheduling properties for the type

Set the properties relating to the scheduling of the work permit type.

  • Set the Start time, Duration, and other time-related properties for the work permit type.

Add and configure subtypes

Some work permit types may have subtypes.

  • Add and configure any subtypes.

Upload work permit Form

Add a form for each work permit type.

  • There is preparation work involved in creating a form and getting it ready to upload. When the form is fully configured, upload the form to its associated work permit type.

Work Permit Forms

Set the work permit type to Active

Make the work permit type active in the system.

  • When all configuration is complete, the last thing to do is set the type to Active. This makes it available to users.
