What's new in AVEVA™ Operational Safety Management 11.1.
New features in OSM Administration
Product rename
The name of Control of Work Administration has been updated to Operational Safety Management Administration.
64-bit
OSM Administration is now a 64-bit application.
Application Settings in OSM Administration
In this version, there is a new Application settings item in the System management window where a system administrator can change application settings.
In previous versions, changing any application settings was done by using the CoW Database Configuration tool. Changing a setting required that all users must be logged out and the database needed to be in maintenance mode. The old application settings (in DB) have been converted to new Application settings inside OSM Administration. See Application Settings.

Binding fields in Supplementary Forms to database fields
You can add bindings in the HTML of a Supplementary form that binds form fields to database fields, so that these fields are auto-populated.
See Adding Bindings to Database Fields and Field bindings for supplementary forms.
Copy attachments from types to main entities
It is now possible to add attachments to some types and those attachments will be copied to a new item of this type in the Web application.
The new Copy to main entity checkbox is on the Attachments window for these types:
Daylight Savings Time for Sites
There is a new DST (Daylight saving time) option on the Site settings window to automatically implement DST for a Site when applicable— so that you don't have to adjust the time setting manually. If you enable the DST option, you must specify a time zone region area and location for the Site. Based on these settings, the system will apply the time change to accommodate daylight savings time when it is needed.

Enable and disable OSM Modules
It is now possible to enable and disable individual modules in Operational Safety Management. When one or more modules has been disabled, they will no longer be visible in OSM Web application and the tiles on the Home page of Operational Safety Management will dynamically rearrange.
For more information, see Modules in OSM.

Mapping signatures and time to PDF work permit form
There is a new ability to map signatures and signature date to fields in a Work Permit form (PDF).
See Map Form Field to Signature or Signature Date.

Multiple active Risk Assessment matrices per site
It is now possible to have multiple active Risk Assessment matrices for a Site. Previously, only one Risk Assessment matrix could be active for a Site. We have also added support for printing out matrices and attachments.
Manage Users of a User Group
We have added some new options that enable you to manage the user members of user groups.
You can inactivate all the users belonging to a user group at one time. When you perform this action, all users are removed from the user group and each individual user becomes inactive.
Manage Users of Organization Units
We have added some new options that enable you to manage the user members of organization units.
Deprecated features in OSM Administration
Functionality is marked as deprecated when a feature is still supported in the current release, but might be removed in a future release. We advise that you phase these features out of your projects and begin to use alternative features.
