How to start a job

Activate a job by selecting the Active checkbox.
It could take up to an hour for Oracle to recognize the new job and assign a new job number.
You cannot force the job to start earlier. It won’t start until the scheduled time.
Oracle job numbers
An Oracle job number is required by Oracle to run a job. Oracle assigns this value.

Only appears for an active job.

If job is stopped, the job number clears.
How to stop a job

Right-click the job in the table and select Stop job.

What happens when a job stops
Stopping a job clears the Active checkbox and removes the Oracle job name. Oracle cannot run job.
What happens to Oracle job name
An Oracle job number is required by Oracle to run a job. Oracle assigns this value.

The Oracle job name only appears for an active job.

If a job is stopped, the job number clears.
When you restart the job, Oracle will pick up the job and assign a new Oracle job number. This could take up to an hour to occur.
