Decide how many work permit types you will need at the Site and what they will be used for.

Type of work permits

Work permits give authorization for a specified work to be done during a limited amount of time.

Types of work permits might be based on:

• The amount of time the work permit is valid for, such as 12 hours, or 7 days.

• The type of work being done, such as general work or electrical work.

• The area where the work will be performed, such as restricted access area work.

Example – Maintenance of a blade

In this example, all work would be included on same 7 Day work permit.

Example – Change battery

In this example, all work would be included on same 12 Hour electrical work permit.
