What is an Isolation Plan?

An isolation plan is a work plan to ensure that a certain piece of equipment has been isolated from other systems. For example, an item of equipment has both water input and electricity input. Both of these systems need to be turned off before any work can be performed on the equipment. An isolation plan usually contains one or more isolation lists of different types, such as an electrical isolation list to turn off the electricity and then turn it back on after work on the equipment is complete. |
