The OSM modules are the OSM applications and entities. They can be enabled and disabled.
Open Modules window
-
From the Tools menu, open the System Management window, then double-click Modules in OSM.

The Modules in OSM window opens. Right-click the module to access functions on the context menu.

Disabling modules
You can limit the modules on the OSM homepage to only those modules that your company site uses. In other words, it is possible to select the modules that you want to appear on the OSM homepage by enabling and disabling the modules in OSM Administration.
Disable a module
-
In the Modules in OSM window, right-click one of the modules and click Disable on the context menu.

-
Confirm and Save.
About disabled modules
When a module has been disabled, users will no longer be able to perform operations against the module.
Guidelines
-
When a module is disabled, the database table for the module is protected, so that it is not possible to create new, modify, or delete table entries belonging to a disabled module.
-
When a module is disabled, it is not possible to duplicate any entities in that module. The duplication button will not be there.
-
When a module is disabled, it will not be possible for a user to create objects for the disabled module. For example, if the Risk Assessment module is disabled, it will be still visible in other pages, but it will not be possible to create a new risk assessment.
-
Duplication of entities that belong to enabled modules will not contain any references to entities that belongs to disabled modules. The Duplication form will still contain options to duplicate disabled modules (entities), but existing disabled modules (entities) will not be copied. For example, duplicating of an old work permit with reference to disabled modules, will not duplicate any disabled entities, so that the new work permit contains only references to entities that belong to modules that are enabled.
-
When a module is disabled, the corresponding libraries will appear empty, so that user cannot see any lists. If the library is accessed by other possibilities except from home page and the module is disabled, then a standard message will appear on the library. No records will be listed in the library.
-
When a module is deactivated, the settings for that module on the Settings page will appear inactive. Inactive means that they are visible, but greyed out.
-
If a module is disabled, it will not be possible to perform workflow for that entity.
